Trans Awareness & LGBTQ+ Awareness Training
Building Inclusive Communities, One Ally at a Time
As an LGBTQ+ therapist, I recognise the challenges that I and my LGBTQ+ clients face in their families, workplaces, communities and more widely. I recognise the importance of using my lived experience and experience of supporting LGBTQ+ people to build learning within workplaces, communities and society. I have developed several training sessions to focus on building awareness of LGBTQ+ and in particular trans experiences which can be delivered in your workplace. I have experience of working with LGBTQ+ young people through youth groups and in counselling. I have worked within Children's Social Care and understand the challenges faced by young LGBTQ+ people within these systems. I have been an advocate for improving the systems that I have worked within to be more inclusive. The training sessions try to encourage a respectful and non-judgemental approach to understanding LGBTQ+ people with a view to building allyship within our workplaces, communities and society.
Being an ally means standing in solidarity with LGBTQ+ and trans individuals, advocating for equality, and challenging discrimination. Allyship isn’t just about good intentions—it’s about learning, listening, and taking action to ensure that everyone can thrive in safe, welcoming environments.

I can deliver a half day interactive workshop which explores LGBTQ+ and/or specifically Trans+ awareness and allyship. I offer in-person or online training. Alternatively, I would be delighted to discuss creating a bespoke training programme for your organisation which may be longer or shorter, for an additional fee.
Training cost: £75 per hour plus costs depending on requirements. 20% of my hourly fee for training is held for subsidising LGBTQ+ clients on low incomes.
